About 89th Parallel
We're not just another education company. We're real people who care about real results.
How It All Started
89th Parallel began with a simple question from its founder, Sir Haseeb Hussain: what if teaching trained the way students think, not just what they remember? He turned that question into a classroom model. Small, focused sessions built around past-paper logic, timed practice, and repeatable thinking routines — and refined it until it worked reliably.
Today those same methods power our online courses: scaled for many students, but still organised so every lesson trains decisions, not memorisation.

Why We Are Different
We don't just teach subjects, we train systems of thinking. Every course is built around past-paper logic, timed practice, and error analysis, so students learn how to make better decisions under exam pressure.
Our approach is structured, data-driven, and designed for performance, not memorisation.

Our Teaching Philosophy
We teach thinking the way tests and exam problems demand it. Lessons focus on repeatable routines: break a question, pick a path, execute under time, and review with targeted drills.
Instruction is practice-led, assessment-driven, and built to transfer across subjects so students leave class with skills they can reuse, not just answers they forget.

Our Community
The 89th Parallel community is a focused cohort of learners and mentors who push them to do better work. Online study groups, peer critiques, and instructor-led review sessions turn isolated practice into shared progress; error logs, discussion threads, and monthly checkpoints keep everyone accountable.
It's a compact network that makes feedback fast, help specific, and improvement visible.

The real people behind the success
Sir Haseeb Hussain (Founder)
Mathematics Specialist
Ten years. Four syllabi. More than five thousand students. For Sir Haseeb, teaching was never just about solving problems on paper, it was about solving the problem of how we learn. Specializing in math, he is known for his structured approach that emphasizes clarity, logical progression, and exam-focused strategy.

Sir Aftab Saad (Co Founder)
Physics Specialist
Specializing in Physics, Sir Aftab focuses on bridging conceptual understanding with practical application. His methodology integrates core principles with problem-solving techniques tailored for exam performance, ensuring students develop both accuracy and speed. With a strong command over the subject and a clear, analytical teaching style, he enables learners to approach physics as a logical framework that explains real-world phenomena rather than just abstract theories.

Sir Ibtisam Baig (Co Founder)
Chemistry Specialist
As the co-founder of 89th Parallel, Sir Ibtisam Baig brings a disciplined, concept-first approach to chemistry. He frames chemistry as a set of transferable models and builds lessons that move quickly from physical intuition to concise, exam-ready answers. His classes pair clear conceptual maps with targeted past-paper tactics: quick experiment reasoning, error-avoidance checks, and answer-structuring that maps directly to marking schemes.

What We Stand For
These aren't just words on a wall - they're how we live and teach
Growth
Not just academic improvement, but structured progress in how students think, plan, and perform. Growth here means moving from memorisation to mastery, from hesitation to confidence, step by step.
Strategy
Every decision in an exam has a method behind it. We teach students to approach problems strategically—breaking down questions, allocating time, and applying the right tools at the right moment. Strategy is what turns knowledge into performance.
Mindset
Skills only stick when the mindset supports them. We train discipline, focus, and resilience, so students develop habits they can rely on beyond a single exam. Mindset is the foundation that carries growth forward.
